Yogyakarta—One obvious thing to help reinforcing the film industry of Indonesia, is to create a “container” for movies from all sorts of filmmakers. That’s step one. Step two is collecting the films itself, and, here’s the crucial part, create a space where people can easily come to enjoy the films collected. That’s just what USB Sinema is all about, and also what’s Kolektif Simamat stands for.
It is an initiative screening event held by Limaenam Films as a part of its Simamat (Diskusi Sinema Jumat) Program. The event is showcasing a rich collection of movies, short films and documentaries from numerous filmmakers, in two days from Saturday to Sunday, October 24th and 25th 2015. Each day will be broken down into four slots, each will start on 10 am, 1 pm, 4 pm and finally 7 pm. A Q&A session will be available for certain slots and film.
Once again, Buttonijo will take part to support this event. Only this time, it’ll feel more special because four out of that many films featured in Kolektif Simamat will soon be available to watch on Buttonijo website. Yes, Buttonijo’s collection will soon be enriched with a series of short movies! And those films are Lemantun and Lembusura by Wregas Bhanuteja, Gula-Gula Usia by Ninndi Raras, and Sowan by Bobby Prasetyo.
If you’re looking forward to get to know more about our newest addition, then Kolektif Simamat will be a good deal for you this weekend. Just make sure to arrive at Auditorium FI Yogyakarta, and we’ll see you there!
